Each year, Rock Health honors digital health leaders who are advancing the world of healthcare and making a tangible impact towards a more equitable future for health. We’re proud to share that Particle Health’s founder, Troy Bannister, has been selected for the esteemed 2022 list.
The award program was created to spotlight individuals from the digital health community for exceptional work in driving resources, bringing awareness, and pushing innovation toward better healthcare for all. These leaders are focused on advancing interoperability in healthcare through bidirectional data exchange, reproductive and maternal health equity for historically marginalized people, providing accessible and affordable gender-affirming care via telehealth, transforming stigma in the behavioral health system, and so much more.
Here's why Troy’s accomplishments stood out to Rock Health.
Over his career, Troy has worked with the healthcare system from many angles- as an EMT, med student, clinical researcher and a venture Investor. When he founded Particle Health, Troy built the complex integrations needed to release historically siloed medical records, including an API platform that revolutionizes and simplifies how actionable healthcare data is accessed. Currently, Particle unifies records from 320 million plus patients providing a single, secure access point to data needed to innovate and scale rapidly. With this approach, users are uncovering more actionable care improvements with greater ease and speed, offering improved clinical outcomes at lower costs.
In 2022, Troy continued to shape the new standard of healthcare data exchange, including expanding the capabilities of Particle's user-friendly API platform, which is especially critical now that the Information Blocking Rule is in effect, heralding a new era of interoperability. With this new initiative underway, Particle is now partnering, integrating and enabling more customer insights through their API to deliver better quality data, care and outcomes across the healthcare ecosystem.
Today, Troy remains focused on Particle's mission to enable healthcare interoperability. He leads his team to create value by generating actionable insights and workflow integrations derived from the hundreds of millions of records exchanged every year through the company’s API. Under his leadership, Particle is fueling innovative solutions into actionable data products that help healthcare providers deliver better care.
Congratulations to all of this year's honorees of the Top 50 in Digital Health!
